I had a fun experience last night.

Ever been to the McKittrick Hotel?  Maybe you’ve seen the incomparable Sleep No More, maybe you haven’t.  Maybe you’ve been to the after-hours speakeasy Maderley Bar, maybe you haven’t.  Maybe you’ve gone to hear music on the rooftop at Gallow Green, maybe you haven’t.  Or experienced The Club Car or Flight or At the Illusionist’s Table, or not.  If you have been to one of the above, do add this to your list of experiences.  If not, add it anyway.

The Lost Supper is another heightened atmosphere experience put on by Emursive at the McKittrick.  They’ve carved out a space in the massive building for a three-course dinner party with drinks for 60 dinner guests, assembled a talented dozen performer host/hostesses and created a theme of redefining normal in a foggy macabre dreamland where it all takes place.  Incorporating pantomime, great costumes, improv, audience interaction and choreographed song stylings, the experience, as a whole, is a Disneyesque delight (by Disneyesque, I mean creating a complete experience from beginning to end, not childlike).

Their goal for your evening is to take you on a  three-course journey of doubt, then surrender and finally transformation.  With me, I feel they succeeded, but I’m usually open to such things.

Good for a date, a group of friends or even a single outing (as you’ll interact with everyone around you and there were a number of singles on my evening).

Be open and let yourself go.
