Our Dear Dead Drug Lord explores the capacity for women to reclaim the power to control their own destiny. It is messy, loud, violent, bloody, magic. Four high school girls perform Crucible-worthy rituals to summon the spirit of Pablo Escobar, however this necromancy may require more from each of them than they bargained for. A play of dark humor and violent potential, Alexis Scheer’s Our Dear Dead Drug Lord, directed by Whitney White and co-produced. by Second Stage and The Women’s Project will leave you tickled, energized, fearful, and goose-pimpled.
