Having run on Broadway from 2009 to 2015, Rock of Ages is back for a 4 month visit off-Broadway at New World Stages. Though the production exhibits an almost pathological fear of leaving a tender moment alone, there is a standout performance by Kirsten Scott and enough earworms, from Sister Christian to We’re Not Gonna Take It, to satisfy any fan of 80’s power rock.
