David Cale is here to tell you a story.  Cale is a sort of pied piper known for his many one person shows over the past few decades. We Are Only Alive For A Short Amount Of Time, however, revolves around his childhood.  The one he created and the one his family endured.  It is also about one specific incident. Cale is captivating.  He is a living diorama. I was intrigued.  I was fascinated. But there is a part of Cale that remains opaque.
