Got a ridiculously super energized imaginative eight year-old or younger? Yeah . . . This play sounds like a good choice for them.
Your child can participate, create, edit, set up, reform, fill in the blanks, and insert as much personal taste into this play. Silly comedy, story telling, amusement, face-to-face interaction, and all sorts of fun many kids will enjoy.
Doesn’t simulating monkey sounds, crafting a series hysterical stories, and putting together sensible words to fabricate a brand new one with the meaning of the most imaginative definition in the room sound like extreme fun and the ultimate best way to drain your overactive child’s energy? I know it works on the kids I know.

The premise is that Sally is supposed to be there to do the show, but she is too scared, so Pete is left alone on stage to make SOMETHING happen. First panic sets in, tension is built, and then the crazy idea to have the audience help create the show bubbles up. And they do, and off we go.
When you are 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 you have very little say in your world. You are not the one in control of things around you, but then Show Up, Kids! comes along and you’re suddenly given control and power on what is about to happen in front of you. WHAT FANTASTIC FUN!!!!!
Peter Michael Marino is a one man whirling dervish of energy, comic timing, physical agility and out and out hilarity. He is a blast to watch and the kids were absolutely mesmerized.
Go and take your child, and a few of his/her friends. Make sure to have them sit on the aisle seats or down in front where they have a better chance of being a part of the show.
